It's time for the Witches to come out!

Last Saturday was my sister Julie's birthday so we headed up to Mendon for the day with lots of activities planned. First we all went to my sister Tammy's new house to help them paint before they move in. I'm so excited for them, the paint colors that Tammy chose are so cute and it looks great! Later, all the girls, including Avery:), celebrated Julie's birthday with a birthday party/girls night out. It was so fun! We went to Carrie's house and made homemade pizza and salad for dinner and then of course we ate yummy birthday cake for dessert. Then in honor of the upcoming event, Witches Night Out at Gardner Village, we decorated our witch hats! Witches Night Out is something that me, my Mom and all my sisters go to ever year, it is SO fun!!! Here are our good lookin' hats.....well, at least four of our good lookin' hats, my Mom's hat is already decorated so she didn't bring it (that's how she bought it) and Tammy's hat was all packed away (they're in the process of moving to their new house) and Deanna had to work and wasn't able to make it. But here are mine, Leisa's, Julie's and Carrie's good lookin' hats! Check out Leisa's hat, (bottom left) she is going to be a "Cowgirl Witch" this year! HA HA! :)

Here's to Witches Night Out!

While I was at the birthday party/girl party, my brother-in-law Scott and Justin took Quinn to his first football game! USU vs. Utah @ Romney Stadium. Justin said they had so much fun! They got a hot dog for dinner during half time and Quinn ate his entire hot dog, bun and all, very impressive! Even though Quinn wasn't watching much of the game he sure had fun climbing in and out of his chair! :) I sent the camera with Justin and gave him strict instructions to take some cute pictures of Quinn without his binky in and some of them together without his binky........here is what I got.........

Uuuhhhhh.....not the greatest of pictures but I guess they'll have to do!

What a great day!

Come one come all.....

.....to a fabulous, fun-filled CRAFT NIGHT!

My sister Julie and I decided it would be fun to get together and make a few cute vinyl/wood projects for the upcoming holidays/seasons. What a fabulous idea!!!:) Then we got to thinking it would be even more fabulous if we extended the invitation to..... well, pretty much anyone who wants to join us! Now don't be timid if you think your not a crafty person, these are so simple and easy to make! And plus, my sister and I will be there to help if anyone might need it -- but I doubt you will! :) Okay, so here are the details;

When: September 20th
Where: My house
Time: 7:00 p.m.

Okay, now on to the fun projects! We decided to offer two "FALL" decorations and two "HALLOWEEN" decorations and here they are.....

Size: 5" X 3.5"

Size: 10" wide X 4.5" tall (whole stack)

Size: 8" X 5.5"

Size: 5.5" X 5.5"

Aren't they SOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE!?!?

Okay, now this might be the best part, every one of these cute projects are only $5.00 each. WHAT? Yes, it's true! Julie has a little vinyl business and she is going to provide the vinyl, wood, paint, sand paper, stain, paint brushes, ripped material, wire.....uuhhh, did I miss anything? -- she'll provide EVERYTHING you'll need for only $5.00 per project! All you need to do is come ready for a, like I said earlier, a fabulous, fun-filled CRAFT NIGHT!!! My sister Julie is so talented and is providing all this cute fun stuff and all I can offer is a measly pumpkin bar! BUT, you can come just for the pumpkin bar and the good company if you'd like! :)

I need to know who is interested by Tuesday @ 4:00 p.m. so my sis will have enough time to cut the wood, cut the vinyl and gather up all the rest of the supplies we'll need. Sound good? And, she will be accepting cash or check when you come on the CRAFT NIGHT! (September 20th) If you are interested in coming and joining the fun then leave me a comment or email me with your orders. My email is mypinkfluff@hotmail.com.

Seriously, this is a pretty sweet deal isn't it? You'll get to come to a ladies night out, chat, have a treat, make a project AND you'll get to go home with a finished decorations to jazz up your home! :) Wahoo!!! Feel free to invite your friends, sisters, your Mom or anyone that might want to join us for a fabulous, fun-filled CRAFT NIGHT! Hope to see you there! :)

My Best Friends Wedding!

Wahoo, Lyndee got hitched!!! I am so excited for her and her new hubby Chad. Don't they make the cutest couple? I'm pretty sure there is no one else in this entire world that fits Lyndee better than Chad does! Well, except for me.....as friends of course, even though I love Lyndee it's not THAT kind of love! ha ha! But if you're talking male wise, Chad fits her best! They are so cute together! He has so many great qualities, he's sweet, caring and he definitely knows how to treat his lady! :) I am so HAPPY for the HAPPY couple!!!

It's mandatory to do a picture like this at every wedding isn't it???

Their luncheon was at the Iron Gate Grill and it was sooooooo good! I am most likely going to start craving Iron Gate Grill food now, thanks Lyndee and Chad, too bad we don't live a little closer to it!

At the reception Avery was really enjoying the lemonade...

...can you tell...?

They got each other good with the cake, but I think Lyndee won, there's more on Chad's face! :)

Awww, one last picture before they wisp away on their honeymoon!

Now if I can only talk them into moving a little more south.....

> Avery my little preschooler! <

Avery has been so excited (beyond excited actually) to start preschool. For about a month she asked me almost daily, "how many days is it 'til my preschool starts?" And no matter what number I would tell her she'd always say, "then the next day is it gonna be 10 days until preschool starts?" Then when we finally got to "10 more days" she took over from there. She'd wake up in the morning and tell me exactly how many days were left! :)

Finally the day has arrived and this morning Avery could hardly contain her excitement! For her special "first day of preschool breakfast" she chose to have a piece of toast with butter, not jelly, just butter, a cut-up apple and a glass of milk. I was pretty surprised with her choice, I thought maybe she'd pick something a little higher in fat and calories! :) When it was time to put her back pack on and head out to get into the car she COULD NOT stop smiling! When we got there Justin and Quinn stayed in the car while I took her into the preschool classroom. Her teacher, Miss Penny, said hi to her and she got a little shy which surprised me. That's not usually how my Avery is, she's usually not timid or shy about anything. When Miss Penny came a little closer and said hi to her again she ran over to her and gave her a big hug! -- it was so sweet! After she picked a hook to hang her back pack on it was time for me to say good-bye. She gave me a hug and then ran off to explore all the toys in the classroom looking back at me just once to wave good-bye again. Justin and I had a few errands to run and our first stop was to Wal*Mart to get our oil in the car changed and to get a few groceries. Right as we were pulling up to the Lube place it happened. Yes, it happened. All the sudden all my emotions came tumbling out and I could not hold back my tears. When the guy came over to my window to ask what we wanted done I felt like blurting out, "I just dropped my daughter off for her first day of preschool!" I wanted him to know why I was crying so I didn't seem like this psycho lady crying in her car.....maybe he would have thought that anyway, even if he knew the reason. But I must say, that sudden rage of emotions kind of surprised me too, I wasn't quite exactly sure why I was crying. I mean, it's not like Avery was sad or scared to go, in fact she was happy as a lark to finally be starting preschool. All my emotions were in check when I dropped her off, I don't know what happened. I suppose I just feel emotional because this means she's won't be home with me 24/7 anymore, she's growing up and I'm not sure I'm ready for that.....obviously! As we walked into Wal*Mart Quinney kept saying, "mommy kye, mommy kye". We walked over to a secluded aisle in the Automotive section so I could get my grips about myself, I didn't want everyone at the store thinking I was psycho! To make me feel better Quinn rubbed my cheek then gave me a big hug. -- my sweet little Quinney. Justin was also there for moral support rubbing my back and telling me that everything was fine and Avery was happy and having fun. Phew!

When we got there to pick her up I was so anxious and excited to hear all about her day. I even got out of the car and stood by it so when I saw her I didn't have to waste time getting out of the car, I would already be out. (is psycho entering back into your minds???) When they finally came out of the classroom and she saw me she came running over to me with her arms out. I asked her if she had fun and the first thing she said was, "mom, we played who took the cookie from the jar!" Then she took her new T-shirt out of her back pack to show me, they get to wear these every time they go on a field trip. She also showed me a brown paper bag that she gets to put a few of her favorite things in for show and tell on Tuesday and to top it all off, she gets to be the class "leader" next Tuesday too.....heck, I want to go to this preschool, it's going to be fun! :) When we got into the car she told us, "I have a new friend at preschool and her name is Jack." I think it's actually Jackie but oh well! :) Awww, a sigh of relief for me, she loved it just like I knew she would!

{ you can't make cookies without a bra }

This evening while Avery, Quinn and I were making chocolate chip cookies I witnessed the quote of the day by Ave, possibly the quote of the year!!!

With much excitement she declared, "Mom, when I grow up and make cookies with my kids then I will wear a bra just like you!"

To her I guess apron = bra! :) What a sweet little innocent child of mine!

And for the record, I had a bra on as well! :)

damn church ball!!!

justin's knee surgery (acl repair/replacement) went very well this morning. I also found out that he's hilarious coming out of anesthesia.

here are some examples:

justin: "what's that guy over there doing?"

me: "he's just waiting with that person that just got surgery."

justin: "I think he's trying to figure out what's going on over here and it bothers me." side note: the man was not even looking, facing our way or paying any attention to us!

here's another:

me: "on a scale of one to ten, where's your pain level?" (I do have quit the nursing skills don't I?) he he

justin: "eight, no nine....no eight, nine"

me: "what??? eight?"

justin with a HUGE smile on his face but not joking around: "8.349672" -- are ya kiddin' me!

one more:

justin: "what would make this all better is if Utah won this weekend." (Utah football of course)

me: "yeah, that would make you feel better."

justin as serious as can be: "I mean, I think I deserve it, I've been through a lot" -- acting as if he's part of the team! :)

get better soon honey bunny! and yes, I have banned him from that damn church ball!

It's what fun is, LAGOON!

We had a blast last Thursday at Lagoon! We got there about 2:00 in the afternoon and didn't leave the parking lot until 10:30 at night! Avery and Quinn loved it!!! Just watching the happiness and joy on their faces was worth every penny even if Justin and I didn't get to ride the "adult" rides! :) Actually we were both pleasantly surprised at how many of the kiddie rides we could go on with Avery and Quinn so it was enjoyable for everyone!

Avery and Justin getting really for her very first Lagoon ride.

She LOVED it, we went on this ride at least 5 times!

Here is a little taste of what Quinn did on the first few rides, he just really DID NOT want the workers helping him into the ride! After a few rides he got used to it and then he started smiling, giggling and even saying "wa-hoooo" and "weeeeee"! :)

Of course they both loved this ride, especially Quinney, he's OBSESSED with keys and driving! This is what I hear all day long from Quinn, "I dive, I dive?", and "keys, keys?" -- he loves holding mine and Justin's keys!

Oh the good ole' train ride. Of course as luck would have it, none of the animals were even out in their cages.....none of the cool animals anyway.

There Quinn is driving again!!!

The famous Lagoon carousel, I swear this thing is like 94 years old!

We had tons of fun! Other than the fact that I almost had to sell my right kidney to buy us dinner at Lagoon!!! Phew, how do they get away with charging $4.50 for a dinky little hot dog and $2.50 for a bottle of water? Ouch!!! Anywho, it was an all around fun day!

Cache County Fair & Rodeo + Raspberry Days in Bear Lake + Seven Brides For Seven Brothers Play = A Fabulous Weekend

First we saw all the animals. Then Avery and Quinn went with my sister and nephew to my parents house while Justin and I went the the Rodeo! Good times!!!

Oh wow, how did these get in here??? Weird, sorry about that!!!

Anywho, on with the weekend..... he he! :)

Unfortunately this is the only proof I have that we actually did go to Bear Lake and Raspberry Days (other than all my fun purchases!) and as you can see my son's thrilled to be riding the train!!! Poor little guy!

Then on Monday night Avery and I went to the Seven Brides For Seven Brothers play at The Old Barn Theatre with my family. We didn't think Quinney would last through the play so him and Justin stayed at my parents house and watched the Olympics instead. They did such a great job with the play and we had a great time! I wish I would have had a video camera, I would have recorded Avery the entire time, she LOVED it!!! She was so excited to be there and didn't stop grinning and giggling the whole time, it was pretty cute! What a great weekend!!!

Oh and Cookie, super sweet sunglasses!!! :)
