New Animals

The Kitty Cat

The Bunny Rabbit

And yes, I did put mascara on my Son. Hey, I couldn't resist, can you blame me? Check out those beauties.....
{Shhhhhhhh.....don't tell Daddy!}

Check out those beauties on Ave's as well, she looks dazzling!!!

Avery and Quinney wanted to do a little face painting of their own on my face. Avery painted a flag and like all professionals do, she dazzled it with her sweet signature.

Quinn started out painting a sun on my cheek.....I'm not sure what it ended up being but it was fun none-the-less. He also proudly signed it with his signature Q at the bottom in blue.

Pretty Kitty!

Welcome to the Quinney-licious Cupcake Bar!

For Quinney's 4th birthday party we had a fun little Cupcake Bar! It was tons of fun and everyone at the party loved it!

The Quinney-licious Cupcake Bar consisted of:

~ 4 kinds of mini-cupcakes {all chosen by Quinney of course}; Lemon, Strawberry, Triple Chocolate Fudge and Rainbow Chip
~ 7 colors of homemade butter cream frosting
~ 5 kinds of sprinkles
~ 4 different colors of sugar sprinkles
~ 10 kinds of toppings; mini m&m's, mini pastel mints, peanuts, mini marshmallows, cherry and watermelon nerds, chopped up butter finger, jelly belly jelly beans, powdered sugar, chocolate chips and butterscotch chips

Scrump-diddly-umptious!!!

Quinn's face is beet red, he just came inside from an intense game of football with his cousins to blow out the candles on his mini-cupcake. :)

First comes the frosting...

Then comes the pretty sprinkles and fancy toppings...

And wa-la! Comes out perfect every time...

And that my friends is how you build the oh-so-delicious mini-cupcakes at the Quinney-licious Cupcake Bar!!

My word, could this kid be any more adorable!!! {I see you Tony!} :)

Hooray, he got a pink blow dryer! ha ha!
...Luckily it wasn't really that! :)

Quinney was so thrilled with ALL of his presents that everyone so generously gave to him. Thanks to our families for coming and celebrating our little Quinney Guy's 4th birthday with us!
I love this kid more than anything and I am so happy that I get to call him my Son! I love you my sweet Quinney Guy, hope you had a great birthday!

Oh, and this is the cute "Welcome to the Party" sign Avery made to hang on the front door for Quinney's birthday party. Such a sweet sister, she was so excited for Quinney to have a party! :)

The Wedding CAKE!

Ben and Krista got married on Quinney's birthday and guess who made their wedding cake?

That's right, I did.

When Ben asked me if I'd make one for them I was...

1. surprised, after all, I'm not a professional :) {although I'd like to say that I am}
2. nervous, I've only used fondant and made a layered cake one time, and that was for Hayzen's 1st birthday a very short 2 months ago
3. MORTIFIED! To make a presentable wedding cake that everyone was going to see? Mortified I tell ya!

But in the end I loved how it turned out, just the way I had pictured it in my head. All that anxiety for nothin'! :)

I really am very happy and proud of myself! Not to mention relieved for myself!:) It turned out SO CUTE!

I'm hoping to take the Wilton Cake Decorating courses before I attempt my next big cake project though..... Come to think of it, with all my "experience", maybe I'll just bag the courses and claim that I am a "self taught professional"! ha ha!

A big congratulations to the happy couple!

Happy 4th Birthday Quinney Guy!

It was my Quinney's 4th birthday! I can't believe he is already FOUR!
Whoosh, time flies!

He got this fun Birthday King crown and hill billy teeth from his preschool teacher. I had to take a picture when he got home, he looks so funny with those teeth! ha ha!

My cute four year old boy, ready to tear into his presents...

Quinn got to pick where he wanted to go for lunch and he chose Red Robin. He was so thirsty on the way there that I told him since it was his birthday he could get any special drink that he wanted. I thought he might choose a smoothie or milkshake, but he chose a Freckled Lemonade. :) Yum yum!

After lunch we headed up to the good ole Cache Valley for Ben's wedding and reception so we had a birthday party with our families for him on Sunday. That deserves it's own post though!

Swiss Days

I LOVE the tradition of going to SWISS DAYS! Of course we had a great time, just as we do every year!

This is Kristen, Lisa and I taking our goods back to the van after hitting the first booth, my all time favorite booth might I add!
Yes, it was a good day! ha ha!

Gee and Dee came up for lunch and we all had the beloved and delicious Swiss tacos. Dee is also sporting her new charm necklace. A great new find at Swiss Days this year, much money was spent at that booth too! :)

And of course we all bought beautiful new hats, some body's got to keep SHeDaisy alive, it might as well be us! Right, Justin? :)

Another successful year at Swiss Days!

Last Summer Swim

On Saturday we went to Grandma and Grandpa Smith's house for one last summer swim and to roast hot dogs and smores for dinner. We also ate corn on the cob, fruit, chips and baked beans. Yummy! The kids of course had a great time playing with their cousins and getting soaked.

And it wouldn't be a summer visit to Grandma and Grandpa house without lawn mower rides from Grandma!

Hayzen's gets a little nervous when ever the lawn mower comes close to him, he keeps his eye on it like a hawk!

Look what was trying to join us for dinner!!!

Yes, that's right, this huge tarantula was walking right across Grandma and Grandpa's driveway in the back yard. So sick! He was a very un-welcomed guest to say the least!

TOTALLY GROSS!!!

Ryan scooped up the monster in a bucket and set him free way in the corner of the yard behind the shed. Phew, he saved the day!
