7. How tall is your mom? like to 15
8.What is her favorite thing to do? make cookies
9.What does your mom do when you're not around? goes to the store
10. If your mom becomes famous, what will it be for? for Jesus
11.What is your mom really good at? making cookies
12.What is your mom not very good at? not beary good at driving
13.What does your mom do for her job? jog
14.What is your mom's favorite food? hot dogs
15.What makes you proud of your mom? listen
16. If your mom were a cartoon character, who would she be? Lightning McQueen
17. What do you and your mom do together? make cookies
18. How are you and your mom the same? because we wear the same shirt sometimes
19. How are you and your mom different? because we wear the different shirt sometimes

How funny! I wasn't aware that I tell many jokes to make her laugh and it seems like she thinks I am very interested in making cookies. I'm not sure where she came up with the "not beary good at driving", I'm a great driver! And of course she hit it right on the nose when she said that if I were famous it would "for Jesus", who else? :) Very fun!!!

Day 6 - Breakfast for Dinner
This is what happens when you forget to use non-stick spray. What a great Sunday dinner this turned out to be!
Fall Campfire Outing continued.....
We had so much fun yesterday evening on our "fall campfire outing" that I wanted to share a few more pictures. We went up Farmington Canyon to enjoy the changing leaves, go on a little hike/walk and roast hot dogs for dinner. Avery and Quinn loved it!
Getting the fire started.....
roasting hot dogs.....
roasting marshmallows.....
exploring.....
posing for a picture.....
enjoying nature.....
pretending to be "the watcher in the woods"..... he he
and loving each others company!
It's times like these that make me really realize how blessed I am to have my little family. Just to see the excitement in Avery and Quinn's eyes to do something so simple as to roast hot dogs and marshmallows and go on a little walk outside in the beautiful mountains makes me SO HAPPY. I love being together as a family and I feel SO BLESSED and SO GRATEFUL to be called mother!!!

Day 3 - Success!!!
Here I am with my very first homemade pie crust! Wahoo, I did it! :)
I have made many many pies over the years but have always cheated and got store bought crusts. I've always heard that pie crusts can be very touchy and sometimes very hard to handle so why not just buy it pre-made from the store? But this time I decided to pull out my inner Martha Stewart and try it from scratch. So after a couple of calls to my Mom for tips and encouragement (my Mom is a great homemade pie maker!) I attempted it. I'd say it turned out pretty good and I am very pleased with myself! It wasn't even quite as scary as I had built up in my mind either! ha ha! Here is the finished product, homemade peach pie........
Thanks Skye for the crust and pie recipes, and yes folks, it tastes as good as it looks!

Veronica Reeve is a very talented photographer, wouldn't you say? Now all I have to do is pick the ones I want to print.....
I love a challenge!
My friend Skye is doing this fun thing on her blog where she posts a picture a day for 30 days. She extended the invitation and I accept! :)

The Mighty Quinn!
On Quinn's birthday we took him out to his special birthday dinner. He got to pick the place and he chose Chili's. Well actually, let me clear that up, he has no idea of names of restaurants, so we gave him a choice of 3 places and which ever one he repeated is where we were going to go. :)
An ice cream sundae for the birthday boy!!!
Quinn's birthday party on Saturday was originally suppose to be at the park, but since it started to rain just before the party started we had a change of plans.....everyone came to our house instead. In the past I've had two birthday party's for Avery and Quinn's birthdays, one with my side of the family and one with Justin's side of the family simply because we have never had a big enough space to fit 40 (give or take a few) people at the same time! And that's just immediate family! So this year I thought I was ahead of the game by planning it at the park with a bowery so we could just have one party and call it good. Not so much! Oh well, although it was a little cramped and got a little toasty with so many people, we celebrated Quinney's 2nd birthday at our house!
We started out with a little game, the "Quinney Quiz". I pre-cut card stock into 6X6 pieces. On one side I had everyone draw a picture of what size they thought Quinn's foot was. On the other side I had them write the answers to six questions. Whoever got closest to his foot size won a prize and whoever got the most correct answers won a prize too. It was really fun!!! I'm going to make a little book with all the papers in it for Quinn to keep. The questions on the "Quinney Quiz" were:
1. What is his favorite food? Mac-n-cheese
2. What is his favorite thing to play with? Keys, he loves keys!
3. What does he call his binky? bebe
4. How many teeth does he have? 16
5. How much does he weigh? 23 lbs.
6. Where on his body is his favorite place to scratch? his bum cheeks! Justin insisted we put this question in!:)
After the quiz it was present time!
The cake! Have any of you seen the movie CARS? Well, here it is.....:)
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you.....
Happy Birthday dear Quinney.....
Happy Birthday to you!!!!!
Thanks everyone for coming and for making it a special and fun day for our little Quinney!!! And especially a big THANK YOU for all the fun gifts that Quinn received, he's been busy playing with all his new toys! We love you Quinney Guy and hope you had a great 2nd birthday!!!
