~ Family ~

Our friend Laci did an amazing job on our pictures!
I am SO SO SO HAPPY with them! :)

Quinney nailed the serious face..... :)

So did Hayzen..... ha ha!

I love these pictures of me with my beautiful children!
I really wanted something that showcased my divine role as a Mother and the love I have for my three sweet children. I had been thinking about this pose for quite awhile, they turned out exactly how I had envisioned!!!
{Except the fact that after losing 35 flippin' pounds, I thought I'd look a little skinnier! ha ha! Just a minor detail, right?}
Love them!!!

I just laugh at Hayzen's face in this one! :)

Thank You, Thank You, and Thank You again Laci!!!

"What? It's broken?"

It makes me SO sad to think that my baby has a broken arm, but yes, it's true. Poor little thing! He was standing on the dining room chair coloring at the table with Quinn and before I knew it,
Ker-plunk!

It's hard to see it clearly in this copied, then scanned x-ray, but, if you look really really close you can see that the break goes all the way through his little bone. :( But the good news is, the Orthopedic Surgeon said it actually stayed lined up pretty well so surgery and a cast will not be needed. What a relief, I am
SO THANKFUL!!!

So now my cutie pie guy will just be sportin' this fancy Charlie Brown sling for the next 3 weeks until his re-check appointment to make sure everything healed correctly.
Which he sports rather well, might I add! :)

In line at the pharmacy to get his antibiotics. As if things could have possibly been any worse for my poor little guy, he has another awful ear infection to add to it. :(

What a little trooper!

Fire Station Fun

A few weeks ago, we went on a field trip to the Fire Station with Quinney's preschool. I forgot my camera so Amy took these cute pictures!

We got to see where the firemen eat, sleep and lounge, and, the kids got to climb up inside the huge firetruck and ambulance and take a peek around. One of the firemen also showed the kids all the gear they have to wear to fight fires. Quite an exciting day!

Quinn and Miley are standing next to the cute fire station mascot. He rides around on his firetruck and talks to the kids and teaches them about fire safety and such. At first Quinn was a little nervous about him but by the end he warmed up. :)

Mr. Pumpkin Head

On Halloween we went to Grandma and Grandpa Smith's house for a delicious Halloween dinner. The Mummy hot dogs Grandma made for the Grandkids were SO cute! :)

After dinner all the kids took their turn beating on
Mr. Pumpkin Head, the pinata!

Mmmmm! More "TANDY!"
{as Braden and Austin call it!} :)

With that, our Halloween festivities come to an end. :(
We had so much fun celebrating Halloween this year and now look forward to the upcoming holidays! Wahoo!

Hearts and Fingers and Ears, OH MY!!!

The kids had a FRIGHTFULLY good time at Tammy's
Halloween Party yesterday!

These were the appetizers to snack on while all the guests arrived.....

...pumping heart, bloody fingers or a ripped off ear, anyone?
Mmmm, Tasty!

How about eating a Mummy face instead? Yes please!

These lil' mummy's turned out SO cute! Everyone got to make their own using an old mummy head {1/2 bagel}, mummy blood {pizza sauce}, mummy wrapping {strings of string cheese} and mummy eyes {olive halves}. To drink, Tammy made
a ghoulish-green punch in her witch cauldron.

What a fun Mummy-licious dinner!

The kids also went on a spook-tacular treasure hunt where they found a box of sugar cookies waiting for them to decorate and they also played the 'guess-how-many-candies-are-in-the-jar' game. Avery guessed 50, Quinney guessed 3, and the total was 200+ .....no need to state the obvious here,
but, {sigh} they didn't win. :)

My poor lil' Pirate was having a rough time, he wasn't feeling so well. Even though he's crying and chasing after me in this blurry picture, it's the only one I got of him in full costume.
Still the cutest sad lil' Pirate I've ever seen!

Thanks Tammy for a GReAt PaRtY!
The kids had a pumpkin-smashing good time! :)

Trunk-or-Treat ~ Smell-my-Feet

Thursday night was our Ward Halloween Party and Trunk-or-Treat. The Young Men and Women were in charge this year, and man oh man, talk about stressful! Whew! I'm so glad we had enough soup and bread sticks to feed everyone! :)

The Young Men did the donut on a string game for the kids and the Young Women did the cake walk and a Haunted Spook Alley where you could feel skin, eyeballs, guts, ears, a brain and a hand inside of hallowed out pumpkins. GROSS! I even knew what each thing was and it still sicked me out! ha ha!

After dinner and games we all headed outside for the
much anticipated
Trunk-or-Treat!

In case you didn't know, I'll let you in on a little secret...
The Tooth Fairy and Buzz Lightyear are the best of friends!
They go flying together ALL the time! :)

And my little Pirate, well, let's just say he scored a lot of loot
merely because he is the cutest Pirate EVER!!

"TRICK OR TREAT!" "What did I get?!"

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

{And yes, Daddy was there,
he was just handing out 46 lbs. of candy at the van!} :)

Did you know that Witches go to school?

Well they do.
I picked one up from school
on Thursday.....

I'm so glad she's a nice,
happy Witch! :)

Carving Pumpkins

Wednesday night we popped in the Halloween cd, turned it up loud, danced around to Thriller and Monster Mash and carved our pumpkins!!!

It was a perfect evening!

I just love Halloween!

Spooky Skulls in the
Haunted Graveyard

Slimy Creepy Crawly Swamp

These were the spook-tacular dishes I made for
the ghoul-icious Halloween dinner we had at
Kristen and Justin's last night.

Other items on the menu included:

wrapped up petrified mummy's drenched in puss and flem {chicken enchiladas}
bone fragments and clotty blood {chips and salsa}
bloody maggots or plain maggots, your choice folks! :)
{spanish rice or white rice}
and
rotten pumpkin guts {orange jello}

To drink, we had a magical witches brew straight from her smoking cauldron!

Mwa ha ha ha!
