"Is it an all-play, is it an all-play?!!"

We had
THE BEST TIME
at the couples
Halloween Party
that Kirk and Amy hosted!!!

Let me introduce you to the guests:

Grammy and Grampy

~ Justin & I ~

The Mobsters

~ Kevin & Brooke ~

Streaker and Cheerleader

~ Chris & Carley ~

The Phantom and Kristine

~ Shawn and Freda ~

Wicked Witch and Captain Jack Sparrow

~ Jeramie & Peter ~

Plug and Outlet

~ Kirk & Amy ~

We ate yummy snacks and treats, played lots of fun games and had a grand ole' time!

Looks like Grammy and Grampy were gettin' a little fresh with each other during the donut game!
Oh how precious!

We were all neck and neck..... ummm, except for Kirk and Amy who had only eaten like, 1/4 of a donut :) ...but in the end Brooke and Kevin pulled through with the exciting win!

This oreo game was hilarious! You start with your head tilted back and the oreo sitting in the middle of your forehead. Then, only using facial expressions, you have to move the oreo from your forehead to your mouth.
Pretty darn tricky if you ask me, but oh so funny to watch!

We also played a fun round of Pictionary and a great game called Times Out Title Recall, which was extremely entertaining! And I'm talkin' over the top entertaining!! Wahoo!

We had lots and lots of laughs
and lots and lots of fun!
Good times!

It's Party Week!

Last Friday we went to Brett and Sarah's family friendly Halloween Party! :) We ate taco soup, salad, chips and dip and Frankenstein finger bread sticks for dinner. The bread sticks were SO cute, I wish I would have taken a picture of them! I'll have to get the recipe from Becky for next Halloween! And for dessert we had cute Halloween cupcakes that me and my kids made, Halloween sugar cookies and carmel apples that Sarah made.
Delicious!

Brett and Sarah had a Cake Walk for the kids and they played Ghost in the Graveyard. Our kids had already de-costume-ized by the time this picture was taken, but here are all the kids.

While the kids were destroying Brett and Sarah's basement, the adults had a chance to play a quick game of Catch Phase upstairs. :)
And here are the adults.

And lastly, I've never known a pirate to ride a horse...
until now.....

That picture makes me smile!
Love it!

Our little family had a great night! Thanks Brett and Sarah! :)

Tour de St. George

For UEA/Fall Break, we took a lovely little trip to St. George. Justin and Troy were planning on riding in the Tour de St. George bike ride on Saturday so we took advantage of the "holiday" weekend and all went down. We stayed in Grandma and Grandpa Smith's condo with them and had a GREAT time!

Comin' down the home stretch...
Wahoo! He made it!

Way to go Daddy!

Later that afternoon we were back at the finish line cheering Troy on as he finished the whole 100 miles. Go Troy! When we realized it was him coming down the home stretch, I didn't have time to get my camera out and ready, so no picture. Dang it! We tried to talk him into riding up the street a little and crossing the finish line again so we could get a picture but he didn't go for that. Ha ha! I don't blame him though, 100 miles is enough in one day, don't you think? :)

Avery and Quinn had a fabulous time playing in the water fountain at the finish line...

We topped the afternoon off with a good ole snow cone.

The water at the pool was so nice, it felt like a warm bath! We swam all three days and the kids loved it! Hayzen's favorite thing to do in water is SPLASH! He was having a blast splashing himself and Daddy in the face!

Avery got brave enough to jump off the side of pool all by herself. She did it over and over and over again a zillion times. Those swim lessons this summer really paid off!

"Cannon ball!!!"

This was Quinn's favorite spot, on the stairs right by the hand bar. We forgot to bring his water wings so when we weren't holding him, this was his prime territory.

Avery was pretending to be a "pink princess shark" and chased everyone around the pool.

That is until the "3 headed lochness monster" showed up and chased her! :)

Taking a bath in the BIG tub at the condo was SuPeR ExCiTiNg!

I just realized that pretty much all of my pictures involve water. Funny! We did a lot more than these water activities while we were there but these were just the select few times when my brain decided to function properly and remember to take pictures with the camera I guess. :)
Happy times! What a great weekend!!!

mommy's little {messy faced} pumpkin

LOVE YOU TO PIECES
LIL' PUMPKIN!!!

Sao Paulo Brazil Mission Reunion

Last Saturday we went to Justin's mission reunion. His mission President and his wife live in California but Justin got word that they were going to be in Utah for the reunion. Justin didn't want to miss it! He always speaks with the up most respect and love for his mission President and his wife, he loves them dearly. And they love him dearly too!

I've met them once before, at a mission reunion shortly after we were married. It was fun to see them again and meet some of Justin's companions. We had a great time. To see Justin laugh and reminisce with his old companions was priceless! He loved his mission and he loves all those he served with!

P.S. Lots of Portuguese was spoken, I'd just laugh when everyone else did.....

...it's the best I could do! :)

Our Annual Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Grandma and Grandpa Smith actually took the kids on the annual trip to the pumpkin patch this year because we were at Jason's Mom's funeral. :( But we did meet up with the whole fam at Grandma and Grandpa's house for soup and rolls afterwards, which of course was delish! :)

{Apparently Hayzen was a little out of sorts at times...} :)

The kids had a great time at the Pumpkin Patch and came home with about 3 pumpkins each! Grandma and Grandpa are SO nice
to buy pumpkins for everyone!
We LOVE this tradition!!!

I can always count on my little helper! :)

Quinney loves to help with anything and everything, especially when it comes to cooking or baking. Most of the time he pushes the chair over to the counter before I'm even ready to start. :) The other day we made Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies while Avery was at school and Hayzen was taking a nap. Yum-O!

Of course my best little helper showed up right on que!

Ummmm... Looks like someone has been sneaking a taste or two!

He's the best little helper a Mommy could ask for!

...I think he makes everything taste a little sweeter too! :)

Let's pack a picnic!

Conference Saturday was such beautiful weather! In between sessions, we thought it would be fun to pack a picnic and head up to the hills for a little hike. I love being outside and especially outside in the mountains in perfect Autumn weather, and so do the kids. We had such a fun time. We hiked to a little river with a little mini waterfall. We threw leaves in the river to see how far down the waterfall they could float before getting stuck
on rocks or logs. It was fun!

The leaves were BEAUTIFUL! We live in such an amazing place!
I love it!

Hope we can get out and enjoy more perfect weather before it gets too cold! :)

We've got a Ghost in our house!

Almost every time I go into one of our bathrooms, this is what I see.....

Sometimes it's all three bathrooms in the same day!!!

This is what our toilet paper rolls look like 9 times out of 10 from "re-rolling" the toilet paper.....

This Ghost is good, really good!
He slips in and out of those bathrooms like no body's business without even being seen!

But...I have a sneaky suspicion this Ghost's name starts with an H and ends with an ayzen.
Mom's just know these things!

Halloween is approaching, wahoo!

Even though I love all the holidays, Halloween happens to be one of my favorites! The Halloween decor is up and the kids' costumes are ready, let the fun begin!

Justin went to the much anticipated USU vs. BYU football game last night {which by the way, USU won! GO AGGIES!}, so I decided since it was October 1st, me and the kids would have a little celebration to welcome in the Halloween season!

We picked up a Jack-O-Lantern pizza and yummy cheesy bread sticks from Papa Murphy's Pizza, stopped by red box and rented 3 movies and headed home for a fun-filled night.

{Mr. O-Lantern looks much cuter before he's baked!}

After dinner we went on a little walk around the neighborhood and when we got back I had a little surprise for my sweet hoodlums...

The kids loved their Halloween card and new Halloween jammies!

Oh, they look so cute! We ended our fun-filled night with our favorite popcorn and a movie, Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue.

Thanks to my three sweethearts, we had a GREAT night celebrating one of our favorite things, Halloween!

Mommy loves you guys! :)
