BEE'S Game

For Justin's work party, we got to go to a BEE'S baseball game! Wahoo! We got to eat dinner there with our meal ticket. I dare say, there is nothing better than a big fat juicy hot dog at a baseball game! :)

Quinn LOVES baseball and was so excited to wear his BEE'S baseball jersey to the game. He also wouldn't leave home without his mitt, just in case a fly ball came our way. He was our "betector" that night. Love it!

You're suppose to smile at the camera little boy, not at mommy! ha ha

That's better! :)

After the game they had fireworks. SCORE!
We had a fun night together as a family. Love nights like these!

Stake Swim Party

The week school started we went to the annual stake swim party at the aquatic center. Wahoo!

Hayzen isn't very brave when it comes to water {which is fine by me!} but he loved running through this little sprayer. He did it over and over and over again and thought he was so funny.

Poor Avery was only 4 days post-surgery so she couldn't swim. She wanted to SO bad, it was torture for her! :( We let her wade her feet/legs instead.

Yes, Quinn was there too. He was just to busy swimming all over the place with his little friends to get any pictures, besides this one. :)

We had a FUN time!

2nd Grade

Another school year has officially begun. I'm not sure I like the idea of Avery being in 2nd grade because that means that next year she'll be in 3rd grade...and then 4th...and then 5th... I don't like it one bit, she is just growing up way too fast!

She's the cutest little second grader I've ever seen though, that's for sure!

Even though she just had her appendix taken out a short 3 days ago, she did not want to miss her first day of school. :) Last night at 'back to school night' I asked her teacher if she could stay in from recess this week just so she can recover a little more. I'll bet by the end of the week though, she'll be more than ready to go out to recess with the other kids!

Good luck sweetie. I hope your 2nd grade year is the best one yet! :)

Appendectomy, anyone?

In the hospital awaiting surgery. She looks so sad, poor little girl. It didn't help that she would be missing her very first soccor game AND her summer tumbling review. :(

Long story short. . .

Avery woke up early Saturday morning with a really bad tummy ache and "not the throw-up, go to the bathroom kind". :) Poor thing! I took her to the Instacare, they took her blood and urine and ran some tests, told us she was having appendicitis and sent us over to the hospital for surgery. Whoa!

This picture is very deceiving considering the way she felt!

She's only smiling because after going through yet another poke {they poked her twice at the doctors office and twice at the hospital, she was not happy} to get her IV in, they gave her this cute Strawberry Shortcake blanket.
She was pleased as punch about it!

After surgery she was pretty groggy for awhile and had a hard time waking up. Sleepy girl.

She was a trooper though and was even able to come home Saturday night. :)

It's only been 3 days and she is doing awesome! She hasn't taken any pain medication since the hospital and she's walking around and getting up and down all with a smile on her face as if nothing had happened. She's one of the bravest little girls I know! :)

P.S. She was super bummed about missing out on getting her medal from her tumbling review.

Don't worry sweetheart, Mommy's gotcha covered. I'm picking it up for ya tonight! :)

#6, in the lime green shorts!

My Son is #6, in the lime green shorts!
Yes that's right, lime green shorts with a Hunter green jersey--AWESOME!

I'm not sure why they order HU-MUNGO uniform sizes for 4 year olds.
I may never know, I guess.

Anywho.

Quinney had his first soccor game on Saturday, Wahoo!
And he did AWESOME!

Check out that kick!! He's a STAR!!

Oh yeah, that's my Son!
You know, #6, in the lime green shorts!! :)

Lagoon--it's what fun is!

These two little fella's are absolutely obsessed with cars. And I really mean ob-sessed. We can't even think about leaving the house without at least 8 in tow! EVER!

So you can imagine their squeals of delight when they saw the cars, let alone realized they could drive one themselves. . .
Lagoon, it's where dreams come true!!

Just look at those faces!

Avery and Taysia were pretty excited about it too.

Every time I look at this picture I almost pee-my-pants, I'm laughing SO HARD!!
There's my sweet honey bunny, loving every second of "Puff the magic Dragon" by himself! Just look at that face, he truly is the love of my life! HA HA HA HA HA

Olp, I guess he isn't enjoyin' the ride all by himself, there's the little pip-squeak with him, holdin' on for dear life! Too funny!

This is BY FAR Hayzen's favorite ride! . . .with the exception of the cars of course.

One week later we bounced back and enjoyed another fun filled day at Lagoon. It was a lot more crowded this time around but of course, we still had a blast!

I couldn't go on this ride because it goes backwards, not a good combo for me! But Justin and the kids LOVED it and rode it about a million times!

Rattlesnake Rapids. . .

and they got SOAKED! Luckily Hayzen was too small for this ride so him and I had to sit it out, I wasn't real keen on gettin' wet! :)

We hit up the train ride just before closing time.

These next three pictures were taken inside the pitch black tunnel.
OoooOOoooOo SPOOKY!

He almost has a bit of a terrified look on his face, doesn't he?
ha ha ha
Well it was pitch black in there! :)

We had a fabulous time at Lagoon and stayed til the bitter end both nights!
I'm tellin' ya, it's what fun is!

Sportin' Sister's Shoes

I love the hand in the pocket!

He is a natural!!

Morning Sun

Ruby's favorite thing to do in the morning is lounge in the warm sun coming through the window. She starts up on the couch and slowly follows the sun off the couch and up the carpet until it's gone. Avery decided to join her this particular morning. What a sweet pic!

parade & car show & fireworks

Avery got to be in the Roy parade on the Studio 48 float. She's been taking tumbling this summer and has loved every single second of it! She looks so tiny up there on that huge diesel, can you find her?

Olp, there she is! What a cutie!

After the parade we headed to the park to see the old cars. Avery and Quinn picked their favorites to get a picture with. . .

That evening we stopped off at the Burger Bar and picked us up a shake to eat while we sat on our blanket to wait for the fireworks to start.

Quinn and Hayzen were being goof-balls and couldn't stop making each other laugh!

For the record, the shakes & fireworks were both EXCELLENT!
See how happy we are. . .

This was probably our last firework show of the summer and we definitely went out with a BANG! :)
