Treehouse Field Trip

We went on a field trip to the Treehouse Museum with Quinney's preschool. It's always fun to go there and let the kids explore/play to their hearts content. We had a great time!

Love these two sweet boys of mine!

I.AM.LADY.LUCK

Yes, that's me, Lady Luck!

Actually, I wish they would have made this shirt in Avery's size because she is the real Lady Luck in our house. That's what I've been calling her for years.

For our traditional St. Patrick's Day dinner we had all things GREEN.
I made "Good Day to Ya" Pea and Potato soup, green garlic parmesan bread sticks, lime jello with green whipped topping and green grapes. It was delicious! The whole family loved it.

And let's not forget dessert. A lovely helping of Lime Sherbet. Delish!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Avery's New Pillows

I am in love with these three pillows I made yesterday.
Is that possible, to be in love with pillows?

Oh yes, I'm feelin' the love!

I'm in love with the cute bright colors of PINK everywhere, I'm in love with the patterns and textures of the fabric, I'm in love with their shapes and sizes, I'm in love with how they turned out--exactly how I had pictured in my head, LOVE when that happens.
You see, it is possible to be in love with pillows!

Don't look to close, I still have to whip-stitch them closed but I just couldn't wait a second longer to put them on Avery's bed and fall in love with them!

I'm so so happy about those pillows! Love I tell ya!

They're hitched!

Tori and JT got married on March 12th in the Salt Lake Temple.
Yahoo! I'm so happy for them.

Tori looked beautiful in her dress and look, she even had lime green shoes. So cute!

A big congratulations to the happy couple! Welcome to the fam JT!

One daughter down Lisa and Troy, three more to go! :)

Happiness is. . .

Glancing up and seeing family pictures that cover our walls--

These two giggling with each other and having so much fun together--

This fella in his cute new summer clothes--can't wait til he can wear them outside!--

This funny puppy--

This guy constantly shooting baskets and yelling "SCORN!" when he makes the shot--

Sunday night Hungry Hungry Hippos game--

This face--

My girl getting all fancied up and decorating for a tea party just for two, me and her--

Life is good!

No, actually, life is great!

Stained Glass-ish Shamrocks

As promised, we made the crayon shavings, wax papered shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day. And also as promised, we had a great time doing it too! :)

And here they are, stained glass shamrocks shining bright in the sunlight.

And here is Puppy Long Legs basking in the shadows of the shamrocks enjoying a bit of sunlight herself.

In other fun St. Patrick's Day news:
the kids are trying hard to be on their best behaviors to earn as many gold coins as they can. If they earn all of them by St. Patty's Day, there will be a special surprise/activity in store for them. Oh I can't wait!! :)

Family Wedding Dinner

Lisa had her tables/house decorated so cute for the family wedding dinner.

And guess what Lisa and Troy made for dinner--Cafe Rio Pork Salad!!! I could have died and gone to heaven it was so good!! My mouth was still salivating for more the next evening when we were at the Temple with Tori. :) Seriously though, it was that good.

They even had the Cafe Rio tins and homemade tortillas for the salad, so fun! Which reminds me, I still need to get the pork recipe, rice recipe and the Cafe Rio house dressing recipe from Lisa. I could have drank that dressing, it is my favorite and it tasted just like Cafe Rio's. Heavenly, just heavenly I tell ya!

All of Tori's Aunts and Uncles {that's us :)} pitched in to get her some of the things on her wish list at Target. I was the lucky one that got to go shopping and pick it all out, I loved it! We gave them Tori's beloved turquoise side table, the softest lime green couch pillow you'll ever feel, the cutest orange lamp and last but not least, a fancy steam iron, lime green of course. :) J.T. and Tori loved the gifts and it was fun watching them open them that night.

Tori's Shower

Kristen and I had fun getting ready for Tori's shower the night before. Part of that fun included a quick trip to Kohl's and Robert's for reasons that will not be disclosed--because apparently some people considered it crazy, right Kristen? ha ha! :)

Okay, so these are the fun cupcakes I made for the shower. You know what, I've decided that I really really enjoy making cupcakes! I think that no matter how you decorate a cupcake it will always turn out adorable and delicious. Tori's colors were orange, lime green and turquoise.

I also made the cute picks. I thought this cute {love birds} pick turned out especially cute and perfect for the occasion. :)

And yes, they tasted just as delightful as they looked, didn't they Tay? ha ha!

Here's Tori getting smothered with gifts :)

And going along with my obsession with making rosette's lately, here is what I gave her. So fun, cute and SO EASY to make! Loved how it turned out!

What a fun day! We also had a delicious lunch with yummy chicken salad, fruit, jell-o pretzel salad, rolls and homemade slush that Kristen and Dee made. YUM-O!
