Here is her tutu.
So fun and easy to make.
My little Princess.
Just as sweet and "purr-fect" as she looks.
I LOVE HER.
We entered Avery in the Miss Pink Tomato contest for our town Labor Day celebration, Tomato Days.
Here she is making her grand entrance onto the stage waving to the crowd. (sorry this pic is so dark)
The contestants had to wear only their swimming suits. Make-up, hair bows, glitter or props were not allowed. I thought to myself, "who would put make-up on their 5 year old for a silly little contest?", but after I saw several of those Mom's spraying their kids' perfectly curled hair with 6 gallons of hair spray and coaching them on what to say just before they went on stage, my question was answered! LOL!
Here was her shining moment! They asked her five questions and she answered them all like a true beauty queen. Of course when the question, "what do you want the most?" was asked, her answer was, "world peace." What else would it be? :)
She got the ribbon for 3rd Princess and she couldn't have been more pleased with herself, her pink ribbon or her sack of goodies. Hooray for Avery!
Just kidding on the "world peace" thing but that would have been great, right?
We went on a lovely Sunday drive and ended up strolling around the Salt Lake Temple grounds. Quinn decided he wanted to splash his hands around in the water.....
.....within a matter of seconds he was soaked! He even stuck the top of his head in the water to get his hair wet. Crazy kid! Of course he thought he was hilarious.
This guy finds Quinn just as hilarious as Quinn finds himself. Two peas in a pod these two are, best buddies!
And they look just alike too! :)
I feel so blessed to have these three sweet children of mine. They bring such joy and happiness to me everyday. What a blessing it is to be a mother.
Hayzen looked so cute on his big day and he was given a beautiful blessing by his daddy. Thanks to all our family for coming and celebrating our little bundle of joy with us.
Not the best pictures by any means but believe it or not, these are the only two we took! Gasp!
I know I know, but with a house full of hungry people I felt the pressure to be a good host and get them fed. I had every intention to take some more pictures after we ate (and after my anxiety level dropped about 1600 notches) :) but that didn't happen either. Sigh.
That's okay though, I'll just have to get him dressed back up in his blessing day best and take pictures of him lookin' so cute! Fine by me! :)
There she is, my little kindergartner! I can't believe the big day is already here. Much to my surprise, I held it together pretty well, I didn't even shed a tear. :)
Avery has been so excited to start and could hardly wait to get up and get dressed this morning. We set her clothes out last night before bed and she said, "I'll put them on straight in the morning." :)
My sweet kids are growing up too fast!!!
Our good friends the Johnson's, invited us to go boating with them on their super sweet boat last weekend. Just so you know, not being on a boat in years + having my two small children and newborn baby on the boat + all the other boats in the water that might crash into us = major major and I mean MAJOR anxiety for Holly! But after I got over my near anxiety attack at the beginning, the rest of the evening was quite pleasant just hanging out on the boat. :)
The kidlets.
The babe.
The stud.
The tube.
The swimmers.
The watch guards. "Emergency, emergency, emergency...."
Thanks for inviting us Brett and Sarah, we had a great time! And who knows, maybe one of these years I might actually get brave enough to do something other than sit on the boat and be the flag holder! :)
We did one last day trip last week with Kristen and Madelyne to the zoo before our little ladies start school.
Among all the regular animals we also got to see the baby giraffe, the three new baby tiger cubs and the little baby snow leopard. They were all so cute!
Here we are watching the elephant eat some lunch. We didn't get to see the new baby elephant though, :( it's still inside with it's mama.
Can anyone guess what this is???
It's an orangutan of course! :) Orangutan's just might be my new favorite animal, they were being so funny and cute with those white blankets! ...so cute in fact that it gave me the urge to want to take one home and have it for a pet!
And lastly, the carousel. What a hit!
We love the zoo!! :)
