We bought a ZOO!

...a zoo membership that is!

We loved the zoo so much when we went for Hayzen's birthday that we decided to get a membership this year!  Hooray!!  I've been wanting to get one for years.  Justin teases me and says things like, "are the kids as excited as you are?" or, "who's it for, the kids or you?"  Little does he know!  Of course they are as excited as me!

The Orangutan's are one of my favorites at the zoo.  We caught them outside this time.  They are so cute!

Don't mind me, I'm just gonna reach down here and get some leaves to eat.

I don't ever remember seeing this ginormous turtle...
how did that happen?

The Tigers are one of Avery's favorites.  Most of the time they're just laying around the exhibit sleeping all day.  Not this time!  We got to see him roam around all over the place.  Avery couldn't have been happier about it either!

 The new exhibit is SO fun!  It reminds me of a mini Sea World exhibit.  Last time we went we didn't get to see the Polar Bear very close, let alone in the water.  This time it was a dream come true.  She jumped into the water right while we were standing in front of the glass, dove down deep and came up right up against the glass in front of us.  How exciting!!  Then she'd push off with her hind legs, float on her back for a second before doing it all over again.  She did it over and over and over.  The kids had the perfect spot before everyone realized what was happening and came swarming over.  At least I got a good picture before then.  :)
 Loved it!!

The Grizzly Bears at the new exhibit were going for a swim too, it was a HOT day!  The other one is peeking underneath the log. . .  So amazing to see!
