Her New Do

I wanted to do this cute little 'bob' at the end of last summer but chickened out due to Avery's non-existent side growing hair, I was worried it might not look so good. Plus her hair is so thin {how did a child of mine get THIN hair?} and I just wasn't sure.

Yesterday when I showed her the picture of the little girl's hair, that I've been saving since last summer, she LOVED it and wanted it cut immediately.

So I did, right then and there. And it's CUTE!

So thrilled in fact that she started striking a pose.

"That's not a Spring Break!"

I'm a little terbed that Avery's Spring Break consists of 2 school days, a weekend and 1 more school day off, while it seems as the rest of the world gets a weekend, 5 school days and a whole other weekend off. Seriously?

Plus, Avery's includes Easter. That should be a separate holiday in my opinion, not tacked into a so called 'Spring Break'.

Oh well.

To celebrate her first day off we headed to the Treehouse Museum.

The Hunt Is On!

Guess who found the prize winning green swirly egg this year? He won a Dr. Seuss book! Hooray for Quinney! I wish I had that moment on video, it was priceless! :)






27 was the magic number of eggs filled with delicious, chocolaty, chewy, sweet goodness they each got to find this year.
.....I may or may not have eaten well over my share.

Easter Egg Hunt!

Cousins

After the Easter Egg Hunt Mom wanted to get a picture of all the "little kids".

It's funny, Mom and Dad really have two sets of grand kids, just like they had two sets of daughters.

3 daughters + 6 years + 3 more daughters = 6 grand kids + 5 years + 6 more grand kids

Funny. Anywho...

It was quite the challenge, as it always is, taking pictures of a group of children. Kind of funny in a way. Here's what I got...

This little guy melts my heart. He is the sweetest thing and has always had a special place in my heart from the very beginning, reserved just for him, the one and only, Quinney Guy.

He makes me smile, he makes me laugh, he just simply makes me happy. I LOVE being 'Mama' to my sweet little Mama's boy.


PURE JOY this little date was, PURE JOY!

Luck Bucks

Avery and Quinn were on their best behaviors last week trying to earn their St. Patrick's Day Luck Bucks. Of course they each earned them with flying colors. Way to go Aves' and Quinney, you did it!

Their reward: The Princess and the Frog movie. Hooray!


For dinner we had GREEN Alfredo Broccoli Penne Pasta. To drink, GREEN Kool-aid. And for dessert we had GREEN Rice Krispies Treats. Delish!


My kids think it's pretty amazing that on St. Patrick's Day our dinner magically turns GREEN all by it's self. I think it's pretty magical too!
